This programme represents an eLearning course for new mothers who wanted to learn about how to create a sleep plan for their child. The course is packed full of expert guidance and advice displayed in a straightforward and easy to follow manner. The course is made up of video, audio and written material, to allow learners to have different ways to learn. The content is fragmented into sections so that mothers can learn more about little one’s sleep needs and even learn how to sleep better themselves.

I created bespoke symbolic icons to create analogies and communicate sleep concepts, this is a perfect example of using icons alongside content. Icons are visually linking the heading with an icon. Each depicting what the content is about, making it easier to link the text with the visual content. Shapes and icons unclutter the learners’ focus, making it easier to skim through major ideas presented on a screen. The right use of shapes and icons allow the learner to easily grasp the basic ideas before reading through the material for further details.
